Squirrels & Black History Month
Black History Month is a special time of year where we acknowledge and celebrate African-Caribbean history. In Squirrels class we provided opportunities for the children to engage in relevant first-hand experiences to help them make connections between different lives, cultures and experiences. With a focus on an array of beautiful texts this offered a contextual starting point for discussion around recognising and respecting similarities and differences.
Superhero 'Supertato' & the WOW Board
We have been reading the book Supertato this week. We have been busy making characters from the book. We made jelly to create a trap for Evil Pea and designed our own superhero plus made masks too, Also we have been busy counting and identifying numerals. Take a look at our WOW board.Each class has a fantastic piece of mark making displayed within the foyer.
Pizza and World Book Day 06/03/20
This week we have been on a walk to Tesco to buy ingredients to pizza.We listened carefully to grown ups and kept ourselves safe during our shopping trip. We chose our own toppings to make our own pizza.We carefully used one handed tools. We dressed up for World Book Day too and enjoyed reading our favorite stories.
Fruit and Vegetable Printing 27/02/20
We have been very busy in Hedgehogs this week.We had lots of fun fruit and vegetable printing. We took turns during 'My shopping list' game. We even cut out our breakfast menu ready for our 'snack breakfast'
