Our theme ‘Me and my community’ found Blooms class learning all about ‘People who help us’ this week.

We now know that there are people in our community that can help us. These include the emergency services, which are the fire service, police service and paramedics, and in an emergency we can contact them by ringing 999.

We identified other people who could help us, naming doctors, nurses, teachers and postal workers.

Our learning environment enabled us to explore for ourselves, providing lots of imaginative play opportunities. We even demonstrated how we help each other in the classroom.
